The average waterfront prices paid were $740,000 among 26 residential homes sold on Lopez and Decatur Islands; $1.2 million among 33 homes sold on San Juan Island; and $2.25 million among 25 homes sold on Orcas Island.


Among the three largest islands of the San Juan Archipelago, June was the most active selling month, with 15 waterfront sales. October was second with 10 sales, and May with eight. No other month saw more than six waterfront sales during the 15-month period. Eleven waterfront sales at prices ranging from $2.1 million to $8.58 million were closed: three on San Juan Island, and eight on Orcas Island. Among the Orcas Island sales were three each at West Sound and East Sound, among which the top selling prices at both locations exceeded eight million dollars.
